Žarko Smolčić is a partner in the Law Firm Smolčić and Partners and the focus of his work is commercial law, civil law, property law, European law, real estate law, transport law, bankruptcy and pre-bankruptcy law.

He graduated from the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb in 2003. and passed the bar exam in 2007.

Žarko has significant experience in European law as one of the lawyers (Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia and Montenegro) to represent clients before the European Commission in Brussels.

He has held senior positions such as interim director of the Croatian Railways Safety Agency and interim expert manager of the Croatian Agency for Market Regulation of Railway Services. Together with his partner he provides consulting services in some of the largest restructurings in the Republic of Croatia.
